RRRRAARRGGGGHHH!! MMMFFFF PPPAAAAKKK YYYJGBND. NDJSKNASEW DSCMKNDCVJKNVSVC DJDSC NOLCNASC SAK CKSACNMSCIKSDCNOWKL?

Hi, I'm his "weakling dork friend who good with words" as he calls me and I'm here to translate.

He says hello fellow Barbarian I really enjoyed your book as it brought me much laughter while reading it. I hope to one day see another follow up book down the road. For now from one Barbarian to another what's some good Barbarian themed games out there that you would suggest? I've played Gauntlet and Golden axe quite a bit as kid growing up and recently played Conan on xbox360. What if any would you add to that list?

Thank you for your time and may we one day drink a few tankards together and crush the weak beneath our fur boots.

Well, going back a bit (and from memory), there's the ones you mentioned and also:

Barbarian on the Commodore 64
Gauntlet 2 (had it on the PC, probably on others)
Gauntlet Legends (Dreamcast plus others I'm sure)
Rastan (don't remember what box this was on)
Rygar (had it for the Atari Lynx!!)
Nethack (the barbarian character class) and probably its more modern clones Diablo, etc.
Conan the Cimmerian (I had this on the PC around 1992)
Gods (I think that's what it was called; a Bitmap Brothers PC platform jumper)
Tiny Barbarian (available here: http://www.starquail.com/TinyBarbarian/TinyB.html )

And in my opinion, Blanka from Street Fighter 2 should be an honorary barbarian. Maybe it's the cutoff jeans shorts, aka jorts.

And then there is Epic Saga, not a video game but a fun webcomic parody of them-- http://www.doublefine.com/comics/RAZ_es/epic_saga_-_1/

cheers,
Byron

Incidentally the poster art for "Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbarian:_The_Ultimate_Warrior ) was rather controversial in its day... Perhaps because it was so much more compelling than the game itself...
